Is anyone successfully running Hauppauge PVR150MCE on Windows XP? I've got everything going and can watch all of my channels on GBPVR (couldn't get it working on the suckful WinTV2000), however XP won't recognise the IR Blaster that comes along with it. I suspect that this is due to the PVR150MCE coming with an external USB breakout box for the IR whereas the previous version had this on the card. As PVR150MCE assumes that you have MCE it assumes that MCE can handle this. XP can't (or can't for me anyway).

Does this sound familiar to anyone? Any ideas? The Hauppauge site is light on info.

Thanks,

Damian.

Yes, It sounds very resonable.
I myself wanted to save a few bucks and have dual tuners.
I was wary if 2 tuners on one card.
So I bought a pvr-150 retail
and a pvr-150mce.

remote that came with the retail works like a dream
and just use the pvr-150mce for capturing 2nd channel.

if your interested in record 2 channels pick up a pvr-150 retail and you'll be pleased.

other than that I'm not sure.

The remote and IR blaster that comes with the Hauppauge MCE Kits are MCE-remotes and while the XP CD does have the drivers for them, it doesn't detect them correctly unless they're connected while you install Windows (not a problem on MCE systems).

If you look on your Windows installation CD you should be able to find irbus.sys and irbus.inf in a CAB file in the i386 directory.
