Live Picture-No Sound/Recorded Picture and Sound Work

Basically said it all in the title but when I go to live there isnt any sound but when i go to playback or pause and play i get sound so my audio decoder is working otherwise I wouldnt get sound when i watch recorded or when I hit pause. I have looked in posts but can't find this specific problem.

I have spent two hours since the original post and still have not got the problem resolved. When I first got GBPVR working the sound worked everywhere. Now it only works in replay mode. I have included my logs.

Try setting your 'deinterlacing' to 'encode pass through'

I dont know. Try a different audio decoder.

But since I get sound in playback mode doesnt that mean that the audio decoder is working otherwise there would never be any audio produced by the pci card?

There are some slight differences to the media type in live tv vs playing a recording. Some audio decoders can be a little picky about this.

I had the same problem until I chose encoder pass-through. Thanks for the tip.

Where do I look for my audio decoder. Can it be installed / uninstalled separately from whatever package it came with. I think mine was installed along with intervideo WinDVR, or Nero Media Player, or is it part of Windows?
