Been testing Vista and IE7 and have found both rather nice. I'm a Firefox fan but IE7 has been rock solid for me so far.
MS has released the Beta2 preview if anyone is interested http://www.microsoft.com/windows/ie/ie7/default.mspx

i do not see a reason to not go on with opera Smile (mostly because i'm lazy, dull and do not want to 'adapt' a new UI)
AMD 1600mHz, 512 M RAM, 20+160 GB drive, Hauppauge PVR-350 + PVR-150 + PVR-150MCE, Win XP Pro SP3, using software decoding.

There is another theory which states that this has already happened.

Pcostanza, I used beta2 for almost a week. Finally uninstalled it yesterday. Just too many quirks and I needed to get some work done Smile

Pros:
New interface look (simple) - It looks more clean and modern.
Phishing filter (if it didn't crash IE twice, I might have left it on)

Cons:
Interface not as customizable as IE6, couldn't move the tool bars to where you wanted. Address bar too long, can't group other buttons and icons on the same row with it. Lost valuable vertical realestate because of this.
Phishing filter crashed it twice, had to disable.
Certain CSS websites weren't useable (MS musta took a cue from Firefox on that little snafu)
Browser features like history and favorites were cumbersome to access.

Guess, I'm the lucky one so far so I want say anymore good things at this point except I've never been a big IE fan and most likely wouldn't make a permanent change anyway.

My avatar gives me away.

To be honest, with a combination of Firefox, Thunderbird, Google Desktop, and GBPVR - and the judicious use of plugins/ extensions for each - I only need Microsoft string to hold it together.

Can't see me switching back.
