where do you see port 1234? That could be a problem. If you go to config tab of the EWA verify the streamer port is set to 7648.

Start the stream from the EWA Manage recordings screen, then click on the launch application button, then select vlc as the client app. (Install vlc on the client)

Oh and try firefox as your browser if you have it installed.

now, this may just be a default setting that is displayed, i am not sure.

so, after further investigation, the stream works remotely with EWA, but not the webstreamer. i wonder what the difference is.

thanks Jim and UJB for the assistance, and maybe this is something others have experienced. EWA stream works, but not integrated web stream.

cheers,

matt

There are differences between the two.....mainly....the webstreamer that works on .Net 2.0 that is found in this thread is a hack just to get it to work with .Net 2.0 and was not tested or setup to be a stable long-term solution.

I put the effort and testing into the integrated EWA streamer.

I would encourage people to update to the EWA and move away from this. I will not be supporting found bugs or anything. I'll offer insights but I don't have the time to support two streamers.
