OK a shot in the dark here but...

...if anyone has a Nebula DigiTV PCI card they would be willing to lend me for a short while (perhaps a month) I would be interested to hear from you. I would be prepared to pay the postage in both directions and also contribute a modest sum to your 'beer fund' or similar.

I might also consider buying second-hand if the price was right but I don't have much spare cash at the moment (I'll be unemployed in a few days time  ).

As I said, a shot in the dark but please PM me if you can help.

Cheers,
Brian

I have one, but sorry I'm not willing to part with it as it's regularly in use. May I enquire what you want it for?

lol - that's fair enough. Smile

I've been asked by a friend to help develop an alternative scheduling system and recordings management system based on Nebula cards. I can connect into his organisation's network and access the existing systems' web interfaces but I can't do too much poking around in case I mess up any of their scheduled recordings - like you, their cards are in regular use so I can't borrow one of them.

No matter - if I can convince them the project is viable, they may be prepared to buy a third card that I could borrow for development.

On a related note - do you use the DigiTV application or is the card used just for GB-PVR? If you use the DigiTV app, how do you find it for reliability etc.? Which version do you have?

Cheers,
Brian

I used to use nebula's software but instead now use gbpvr with the hacked drivers to enable hibernate/suspend resume. Your friend does know that he can web schedule like in gbpvr with nebula's own software doesn't he? also he can use digiguide software to schedule recordings.

Yep. It's not as simple as that though - I already did a case study.

The project is in a multi-user environment and needs to use the in-house web system for scheduling recordings and handling conflicts etc. Each user can also specify where the resultant recording is placed and will receive an e-mail notifying them that it is ready or if there has been a failure for any reason...

...that's the short version. It gets more complicated than that. Big Grin

Cheers,
Brian
