I would like to see the recording status of my tuner(s) on the main menu without using any additional plugins.

Maybe this is available already and I don’t know how to activate it?

Do you just want to see what's being recorded or do you actually want to see what each tuner is doing?

If you want to see what's recording/now/soon, stuff like that you can do that with the VA panel or the recording panel.

Different skins would give you that info in a few different ways.

If you actualy want to see what each tuner is doing (like the sys tray icon tells you) I don't think it current exists.

It'll already show you the names of anything recording, or any upcoming recordings.

Personally, I dont like to see anything inside the GB-PVR interface that identifies the separate tuners, so its unlikely I'll ever provide this.

Thanks sub,
I was just hoping there was something simple for my MPV setup. Like displaying a graphic, or the text Recording or Sleeping depending on the service status.
I have Recording Soon enabled, but I have to watch the show times carefully to know if something is recording. And I like keeping my base installation and unnecessary CPU use to a minimum also.

A Brass,
Yes, I had the VAPanel running before I installed the latest version of GBPVR and it did exactly(!) what I wanted. I even had it customized with my own sleeping and recording status graphics. But before I upgraded I noticed several very large log files (one was 50-meg in 50k fragments) even though I thought I had everything disabled but the panel.
I guess this topic could be a subconscious wish for Jeff to release a VAPanel light, but I wanted to see if something was available in the default load before going there.

Which was the very large log file? Probably the pendinglist.log file. That one is not reset each time the plug-in runs so it just grows and grows forever. I will provide a way to turn that log off in the future. As a quick fix, you could edit your postepgupdate.bat file to delete the log file every night.

Hi Jeff,
I have to step out for a few hours but I'm pretty sure I ziped the entire GBPVR folder before I installed the latest 96.12 version.
I'll see if I can track it down when I get back.
Thanks!
