HI Everyone

I am new the MVP world but just got one from newegg .. arrived last night...

installed thier software and hooked to network..
the unit worked right off the bat...

stop thier software.. and moved to my gbpvr box...
configured for 1/2/3 (see below) MVP's and sent differnt dongles to the MVP...

the only one I could get to work with the MVP was dongle3.0248xxxx ... this is the only one that would connect to the gbpvr system with clear menu/video
however this doesnt seem to allow for overlay's .. I cant see what channel I am typing in... cant see a timebar for video's being played etc... tryed forcing displays on MVP with options in the config... but every combination I tried I cant seem to make it work...

as the other dongle files, all of them when sent to the MVP do load.. but the video sync is gone (flipping vertically and black and white picture) as soon as any of them initialize on the MVP unit.

my MVP is brand new - Rev H2 Lot 1506

Any help suggestions so this will look good on my 36Inch TV as it does on PC would be appreciated..

Note: To reset I unplugged MVP for 2 minutes both power / network cable

Other things to note: the version on the main screen says 2.04
the dongle3.0248xxx doesnt seem to support all the remote buttons... or if I push guide the tv continues to play but I cant get to the guide.. all I can do is power off the MVP... and start over..

System is AMD64 3200+ 1GB DDR, 160Gb System 500GB recordings, PVR150 GBPVR 97.09

With an 'H' revision MVP, you'll have to use one of the 3.x version dongles. The old dongles dont know how to handle some of the hardware differences introduced with the new H revision.

Do you have the 'force minimal OSD for MVP' option selected in the config app? This is default for the MVP, since the device isnt grunty enough and performs poorly when displaying the OSD over video.

If you press the blue button, does the OSD appear?

Thats the firmware version, and not related to the version of the dongle you're running.

hmmm yes... blue button does darken the screen and display a timebar and minimal status...

currently none of those options are checked... most likely I removed them last night while trying to get the MVP working

Its best to leave them checked, and press the blue button when you want to see the OSD. Its much more responsive this way.
