I know this has been brought up before, and it's no fun, but it has to be said that GBPRV sometimes does a shocking job at allocating tuners.
Amongst other problems, I've had situations where it'll choose to use the same tuner to record two consecutive programs that are on different channels, even though the other tuner is free during that period. It seems to have something to do with the order that programs are set to record, because it works fine if you set them in chronological order.
I propose three additions to help combat this problem:
1) Do a reshuffle of tuner allocations (to find the optimum configuration) after each program is set to record
2) Display the tuner scheduled to be used on the TV Guide (small digit on top right corner of program) for manual confirmation - and to help debug problems in the scheduling logic
3) Add an option in the Guide's recording options to manually swap (or otherwise change) the tuner assigned
What do you think?
PS: I'm still using 92.12. Have this been improved in the recent version?
