Hello!

First of all, thank you for the wonderful program!!! I know, you have heard it many times before, but imho this is the *BEST* pvr program I know of (and I have seen many of them).

There are, however, two (easy to implement, I hope) usability problems with the manual recording feature:

- If I make a mistake and ask for recording that overlaps the previous one I get an error (which is perfectly OK) but then I cannot simply go back and correct it - I have to start entering the recording details from scratch. This is not very convinient, as I have about 100 channels (2*50)...

- (the reason of many missed recordings...) If I enter a recording time that is earlier than current one by more than 20 minutes, the program should give an error message and propose to increase the recording date to tomorrow. The reason for this is that if I skim through a paper TV programme selecting shows to record, it always is something like:
Monday:
.....
22:00-00:50 - ABC
00:50-01:45 - DEF
.....
If I want to record a "DEF" show then I need to manually increase the date to Tuesday. If I forget to do it then the GBPVR will simply mark the show as "failed" (and technically is right)...

ps. If it is not very clear, do not hesitate to ask me to rephrase my wishes - I am not a native English speaker.

Thank you all for reading this complicated mess Wink.

Looking at your problem from a different angle:

I am curious as to why you don;t just configure GBPVR to include the tv channels that are available to you and then schedule your recordings via the EPG?

I do not want to do that. The reason is very simple - I do not have access to any sources of the EPG...

Moreover the manual recording allows much greater flexibility. Besides I got accustomed to using the manual recording Wink.

Sounds like a reasonable request. I'm a bit too busy with other stuff at the moment, but hopefully I can add this logic sometime in the near future.

That would be great Big Grin.

I can only hope, that the first wish:
"If I make a mistake and ask for recording that overlaps the previous one I get an error (which is perfectly OK) then I should be able to simply go back and correct it."

is also on your "to do as time permits" list Smile.

I will be waiting for the new version of GBPVR Cool!!!
