Hey all,

Hoping someone can help me here. I've got a Hauppauge Nova-T Stick USB tuner (DVB-T only), nice device, sadly the included WinTV isn't the best of programs. Initially, I couldn't get GB-PVR to work - however, at that point I didn't know what I was doing. I got the latest build and followed instructions on some site (I forget where) and got everything working nicely - great piece of software.

However, since then, something (and this is where I sound stupid, I honestly cannot remember if it was something I did e.g. reinstalling drivers, or if it was just something that happened "on its own") has changed. GB-PVR (which previously worked fine) stopped being able to tune to any channels, instead showing a black screen. I tried to rescan for channels and none were found, using either All Regions or my local transmitter (Winter Hill) - WinTV, MediaPortal and ScanChannelsBDA (the log of which I have attached to this post) all recieve fine.

Since this happened, I have tried everything I can think of - totally wiping off any trace of GB-PVR and reinstalling with a freshly downloaded copy, totally removing (I hope? using hcwclear.exe) the drivers and software for the TV card and reinstalling (both the supplied version, 2.5b, and the newest, 2.5d), hitting my computer, etc etc. I've also tried changing BDAScanType in config.xml to 2, with no difference.

What is odd is that it used to work great - everything points to the fact that I must have changed some setting somewhere, but I don't think it can have been a GB-PVR setting as I've wiped it off a few times (unless it stores anything anywhere else other than \Program Files\devnz\gbpvr and HKLM(/HKCU)\Software\devnz?). Also odd is that other BDA software still works, so it doesn't seem like a driver problem.

I've attached my config log files also, in the hope that they might be of some help in figuring this out. I'm pretty sure I'm going through the configuration procedure right, but it's not impossible that I'm just making a stupid mistake Smile

Anyone any advice?

Cheers,
Tom

MediaPortal is getting in the way. Uninstall it and it should start working again.

Legend, that sorted it Smile Thanks!

I take it the two cannot co-exist at the minute? No big deal, GBPVR is more polished and stable than MediaPortal anyway!

Cheers,
Tom
