Audio problems on imported recordings

I have a few recordings that were recorded from satellite on another PC and then copied to GBPVR PC. If I try to play them from GBPVR using Myvideos the video is OK but I get regular brief periods of silence, but they play without problem through MVP. Any suggestions please?

All I can think of is to play around with audio/video decoder/renderer settings until you find something that works for you. It can be quite a fun month getting things the way you want
