XRecord/CDK scheduler and wrong channel

I am trying to set up a recording schedule using the scheduler found in Xrecord -->Power. When I pick channel 5 in the menu, under the schedule list it shows it as channel 297 and doesn't pick up any program because obviously it has the wrong channel.

Any way I can fix this?

Also, why do I have to pound my keyboard 5 times to move between the channels in the XRecord scheduler under "power"?
