how to set a system default filter (codec) when multiple are installed?

Hi all,
Using a program named sherlock I have seen that I have two h.264 codecs registered but am unsure how to check/set which one is the system default? Is there a way to register which codec directshow uses by default?

It works on a merit system. The one with the highest merit will be used. You can adjust the merit using tools like the 'radlight filter manager'

You can check which one GB-PVR ended up using by checking gbpvr.exe-native.log
