Lost Custom encoder settings; 98.08->13 upgrade

Last night I upgraded my v98.08b install to v98.13b. Had a slight glitch when I first manually updated EPG associated with my PVR-500 Capture Source (got an Unhandled Exception after parse, during DB save) but subsequent global EPG updates from the System plugin worked fine.

I found one issue after I checked last nights recordings: my Custom encoder quality settings for my PVR-500 were reset to default. MPEG2 used to be VBR at an average 4.8Mbps, it is now 6Mbps CBR.

All is fixed after I pulled my own settings from WinTV2K and restored them back to GB-PVR.

Minor quibble only; the .13b upgrade seems good otherwise. I haven't fully explored all the changes.

This is normal. Every release does this. GB-PVR only retains settings in config.xml and the database.

Ah, where are the encoder settings stored? I ass-u-med it was in config.xml but never actually took a look to see.

They're in direct.ini. Sorry, its an inconvenience I know... (but is unfortunately the expected behaviour)
