not sure if this software is what I am looking for or not..... I have an adapter that takes my s-video cable from my cable box and sends it to my usb port. the software i have is for burning dvd's and what I would like to do is to be able to use my laptop as a monitor for my other cable box in the other room.... just bought this thing and i can't justify a new tv as well...... anyone have any suggestions?

this may work depending on if your "adapter" is a tuner and works with this program. A list of tuners that work for sure is available here: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Hardw...reCardList
