will wintv pvr usb2 work w/ satellite to change channels?

will pvr's such as the wintv products be able to change the channels in setup involving direct tv or will cable/antenna be needed?

You'd need to add an IR Blaster to your setup so GB-PVR could tell the set top box to change channels at the appropriate time.
