Poorman's cam

Hey,

Is anyone using gb-pvr in combination with Poorman's cam.

Ik am trying this at the moment, and seems to run fine. The only thing which is bothering me is that there is a crash when exiting gb-pvr. Somehow there has to be send an exit command to the poorman's cam. Anyone figured this out yet?

MD plugins seem to work really good.

When it is not approved to talk of this MD plugin please say so.

I've also seen the multidec wrapper filter generate an error message at exit. In my case I was able to solve by switching to a different multidec plugin, but this may not be an option for you.

Unfortunately, I only have limited control over this (written by someone else), so its not really something I can do much about.

I found this on the creater of the multidec plugin I am using.

About the "exit" procedure, the Window that PMCAM shows is clear, DVBViewer is not calling the "OnExit" procedure to inform the plugin that it will be unloaded, and directly unload it. Most plugins shows one window and "emulates" systems, but PMCAM open serial ports and manage many more windows and features so it needs a complete "shut down". The window you see is to inform the authors of the DVBsoftware that the OnExit call is not optional, it is a MUST that should be implemented (PMCAM is doing its best to finalize it correctly in that handler), but the good implement in the DVBViewer code is 2 lines of code Confused or even only one!!!! So please, request that adition to the authors.

Is there anyway to ask support for this to you multidec plugin creator?

Sorry, I dont have any info for you. I dont personally use poorman's cam.

Sorry, I think you've misread what I typed. There is only the one multidec wrapper, and you're already using it. I solved my problem by switching from the WinCSC plugin to the Yankse plugin, which didnt need the 'exit' function to be called. You probably need different multidec plugins for your setup, so this most likely doesnt help you.
