Sometimes GB-PVR will get an error - "Object something something..." or similar.
In some cases, from that point GB-PVR (GUI) will not work the same, or won't play any more files, etc. The easy way is to "restart" the GUI.

I have that "restart" button on my remote, and the wife knows about it too, just in case.
And I know we should try and solves these one at a time and clean (either the app or our installs/plugins/systems) from those problems.

But I thought, for the long term (trying to make the app more robust, stable, and so), if the app could "recognize" those situation and either restart itself, or clean-up and re-create the relevant objects, or whatever is needed.
I'm not saying to "hide" those errors - still display as it is now, but just restart the relevant objects to be able to continue normally.

How did you code the Restart button? I have the same problem and have to drag out the wireless keyboard to close the error!!

Well, I have a small script I wrote that does a GB-PVR "toggle" - if gbpvr.exe is running, it kills it. If it aint running, it starts it.

then, I have HIP assigned a button (I did the "Green" Windows button on the MCE) to run this script.

Then, use this button to stop and then start GB-PVR if needed. Although it requires two clicks (one to kill, one to start), I prefer it this way, cause it allows me with one button to solves different issues ("restart" GB-PVR; Start it if it is not running; Stop it altogether if I want to, etc.)

(the script is based on AutoIt3, which I mentioned several times on the forums, which is then compiled to an EXE file).
