Hi,

I have built a dedicated server for GBPVR and I'm using multiple MVPs with MusicLibrary2. If more than one MVP is powered on when the time for a daily DB update occurs then one of the GBPVR MediaMVPserver instances generates a .NET error complaining that it can't access the config.xml file. (I assume that's because it's clashing with another instance of MusicLibrary2 trying to do the same)

The error halts that process instance and effectively prevents the attached MVP from working properly until the error is cleared on my GBPVR server  .

Have you experienced this problem before?

Regards,

Ray.

Nope it's not something I've experienced, but I do only have one mvp. I might have to add some code in there to write out to a file or some such o say that "I've got the update" flag, to stop others doing it.

oh, its not actually complaining about the db which is what i expected, but the config.xml, was it doing a scan at the time?

I think so. The plugin is set to update once every 24 hours but it's possible 2 or three instances of the GBPVR server software are running at the time and connected to MVPs. If the MVPs are "off" at the time of an update it doesn't seem to crash.
