I tell you, I am soo impressed with the web scheduling feature (just discovered it last night and set it up quickly).
Now I tried it for the first time (from work :) ), and I tell you it is soo cool.
I can even do config changes remotely. or download recorded shows ...etc.

The only problem I had is to know how to access it.
The Wiki does not tell ANYTHING about how to link to it.
Finally I did a search in the forums and after many posts found the syntax:

http://ip:port/gbpvr/login.aspx

Can someone please add this syntax to the Wiki?

I find it surprising that such greate features are not advertised correctly, or has a lot of info lacking, which can discourage a LOT of users.

(I am not interested in the Enhanced Web Scheduling plugin, as I do not want to do many changes as described there, so I did not even read through its description ehich may have had the link syntax).

I belive this is the same thing. Every couple of versions of the Enhanced Web Admin plugin is distrubted with the GBPVR release.

The enhanced web scheduler IS the web schedule feature, only the version on the wiki is a few versions on from that bundled in GBPVR, and i agree its a brilliant feature. All the info you need will be under EWA page on the wiki. Theres still quite a to-do list so its always worth seeing what new features become available!

I find the web interface to be lots of fun, I generally prefer it to the one in GBPVR. It has lots more information at a single glance and the IMDB link is awesome. But to be fair, I am comparing it to using VNC to using the GBPVR interface. If you are at the TV, then clearly GBPVR's screen interface is the way to go.

I just bought an HVR1600 and I am really enjoying the remote. I have been using my Belkin MediaPilot keyboard up to now, but it is getting ignored most of the time, now that I have the remote.

This feature is my savior. I used to load GBPVR in a remote Radmin screen, but on my new PC, it doesn't refresh the screen properly. With the Web Scheduler and its excellent interface, my problems are solved.

Where do you think it should go on the wiki?

EDIT: I decided to start an FAQ, then I found we had one that no one can find so I've started updating it and this is as good a place to start as any: http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/FAQ/FAQ
