I'd love to see HD. I thought, Calgary was a hip enough town to have it (OTA).

I get the impression that Calgary does not easily get OTA.
Have you checked out this website? It may provide you with more information about your area.

If you're really interested in getting OTA you really need to get a good antenna (like an amplified antenna or an antenna like the silver sensor if you plan on staying indoors) or at least be in a favourable location in relation to station transmitters.

You should definitely take the 950 back especially if you're interested in getting hardware encoder.

But to make life simple, you should also consider getting HD content from your local satellite or cable provider.

Yeah that's one of the only sites that had any info

And that starts the expense again, where I think soon the tech will change away from antenna again.

Yup. It's packed up and ready to go

I don't actually have an HD TV yet. THis was an experiment to see if I could get free tv, and also play with the larger format HD files, so I could improve ZProcess...

I'm am very impressed with the look of default medium encoded analog SDTV files on my computer monitor. (I did tweak my cable good). I will download the odd ep from the net, that seems down sized from and HD signal. I'd say that the quality is good all right, but not enough of a difference for me to bust my head open trying to get it...

I used to ask 'why?' Now I just reinstall...

Yeah, I know what you mean and who knows how long they're going to suppor this technology.
