I wouldn't mind having a settings to delete recordings after a certain time period. I already use the "keep certain # of recordings" feature a lot for season recordings...but something like this would be useful for one-time recordings and stuff.

NV40, I have postprocessing check disk space and transcode a show whenever the diskspace goes below a preset level (I assume this is what you basically want). You could change the code to delete instead of transcode if you want. Have a look at his post: http://forums.nextpvr.com/showthread.php?t=20093

Thanks, I'm gonna check that out. I'm really not worried about disk space so much...my hard drive capacity is way beyond what I record. My issue is that I sometimes record a number of individual shows in chunks....so then every couple weeks I have to go back and search under 10 different show heading and manually delete all of them. Being able to delete an entire program group would make this a lot easier, but I asked sub for that a long time ago and there isn't a big demand for that. With an expiration type feature...I could set all these shows to record and know that if after say 3 weeks I haven't had a need to archive them they will delete themselves.
