While the control for subtitles works fine, on/off for three languages, on ripped DVD material, I've not been able to control closed captioning.

Could a "Ctrl" key be included to cycle CC on and off like there is for Subtitles?

I'm not sure what else to call these captions and screen directions.

It all started when I accidently clicked on one of the bottom control screen buttons (on playback of a ripped DVD), I'm guessing the SUB button. Subtitles and this other titling came on. As mentioned, I can control what I think are subtitles (dialog only), but the other titling (with action ques as well as dialog in black out boxes) indures. It's as if some flag has been set somewhere - not directly related to the material - because it happens on newly rip as well as old - even those I've ripped thinking I specifically chose not to copy extra data. No such effect on programming recorded from PVR150, only VOB files.

Is there any other titling/captioning besides subtitles that is controlable from the keyboard or settings?

Thank you for the program. I was happy to send you a token of my appreciation.

I noticed the same thing just the other day. I think there are two remote buttons blue/yellow? that change language and subtitles, neither would turn off these captions that showed up. What was I watching.....? I can't recall, but there was a particular scene where some writing was inscribed on an object...maybe I was drinking too much scotch Big Grin and this caption would pop up transcribing the message on the object. lol.

I am also using the Nero decoder as a default, and can't seem to get rid of the closed captioning. Anyone have a fix for this?
