Help changing font size

I dont know if this is the correct place, maybe it should be under Documentation.
Ive been searching for some docs about the xmlfiles cos I want to change the font size for alot of text. I couldnt find any so Ive been fiddling with all the sizes i can find but nothing changes. I use the original blue skin right now.
Is there a manual for this? or can someone help me out where i can change this and is would be great to know how i should think if im switching skin some time and want to do the same there

Sorry, there is no manual for this stuff.

If its specific things you want to change, let people know exactly what and I'm sure someone will be able to point you in the right direction.

I use this just on my PC for now, and usually in a small corner of the screen, doing some lazy tv watching and doing something else at the same time and with that small window I cant read it anyways so when i wanna do something i just maximize it but in that window the size of the text if very big and could be smaller to get room for more info at the same time.
for example in TV Guide, I could see more info if the font size was smaller so if anyone knows where this is changed I'd sure appreciate it
it's not just in the TV guide I'm asking for, it's more like... everywhere

I think some other skins used slightly bigger fonts (flat blue?).
