Has anyone had any luck getting the pcHDTV 5500 working with gbpvr? I've installed the XP drivers for the card, and I have had the analog tuner working in other apps, but I'm not getting anything in GB.

Try this link:
http://www.pchdtv.com/forum/viewtopic.ph...ht=windows I'm interested in the pcHDTV series of cards to try in Windows (I am currently a Mythtv user) although my experience is with Hauppauge cards. I hope that link helps as I would like to learn about success with those cards in gbpvr.

General rule of thumb with GBPVR, if the HD side has BDA drivers it will probably work, if it doesn't have BDA drivers, you're hosed.
If the analog side is a software encoder it may work or may not work, but it's not really a supported configuration. See this sticky for software tuners. If the analog side is a hardware based encoder, then it'll probably work.

I just stumbled across a plugin that looks like it might work for the analog side (if it's a software encoder). http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Plugin/GraphRecorder
It looks like a much newer version of the out-dated Software Recorder.
