FAO Herbs - HIP config

herbs - you sent me your HIP config (awhile ago - many thanks, again)

can you briefly advise on what i need to configure after loading the config file? anything at all?

would it be easy just to follow the instructions to configure HIP/MCE IR/Blaster from scratch but use your key mapping file as opposed to doing my own?

appreciate your advice...

ps. i bought another remote/beanbag and drivers now ok - didn't know hauppauge MCE kit is for MCE only....cr@ppy things!

Are you using the alternative mce driver ? if so have you had any problems with it ?

it installed ok....aint setup HIP yet so haven't tested it yet...

am assuming when i add the alternate drivers, the remote stops working until you configure whichever s/w you choose? HIP for example...

wish I could answer you but with my system locking up so frequently i didn't have time to find things like that out.

You can load it and test it... if you want to revert back it's simple as removing the device and scanning for new hardware. You'll get the original eHome driver back.

Sorry I've been busy with a system install, I think your best bet would to be to follow the guide on wiki but with the settings I gave you. I mapped the clear button to goto the previous channel and the enter button to flick through the screen ratio. The reason to follow the wiki instructions is if you need to modify anything to your own settings then at least you will know how to do it.
