Mine autoaupdates at home. I imagine there is some code path you can trigger that caused the bug to be worked around. I haven't bothered to figure out how.

Hi all,
maybe a stupid question from a newbee but I didn't find a solution on the next problems. 1) Does anyone know how to set the wheather plugin to capture temperature in Celsius as used in Europe instead of Fahrenheit. Same for the wind, km or beaufort instead of miles. 2) Would also be great if the wheater plug in could provide a future release where a user would have the possibility to select from a list of wheater webstation providers, or key in the web address, rather than staying on one and the same. Point 1 definitely needs a solution. My wife isn't that happy with figures she doesn't understand on the weather report. For the rest great plugin. Ciao.

bavan Wrote:Hi all, For #1 run config, go to plugins tab, click on weather, click on settings, go to display tab, select SI units. Don't know if this changes everything or not. Probably easy to fix if it doesn't For the second, that's much harder. The weather plugin is custom designed to pull the data from the sites it was designed for. There is no standard interface to get the weather, so allowing any site would likely not work.

In the plugin configuration select SI units for us Europeans, mind you being in the UK we use miles and litres in the same sentance

Hi Guys,
thanks for the tip, so simple. I saw the SI units but thought they were used for something else. Anyway, great, all works fine now in C° en km/h by enabling this option. As for point 2, I'm not sure but I remember I saw such a functionality in the program Mediaportal. I can not check it at the moment as I have deleted Mediaportal from my PC as it was to unstable. GBPVR with all the plugins does a far better job so I'm planning to stick to GBPVR. Hmm a weather plugin in your local language, wow wouldn't that be nice to have. I'll keep on dreaming a little bit. All the best.

I was able to correct the broken URL by browsing to http://weather.msn.com and entering my zip code. Once the correct weather page loads, copy everything after "http://weather.msn.com/local.aspx?wealocations=wc:". Open Config > Plugins and paste this in place of your zip code in the weather > settings > area codes tab.
