Build 61 of EWA has been released. You can download it here or on the wiki.

This upgrade requires GBPVR 99.12 or higher to work.

Date: 2007-05-19 Build Number: 61 Changes:
  • UncleJohnsBand: General bug fixes to updated stream options in Player window.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Added code to handle auto-login when running Vista and IIS 7.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Added filtering of Saved Searches so that you can quickly find Saved Searches that are set to Auto Search.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Corrected issue with Reocurring Recordings not displaying correctly in Manage Recordings tab when using Treeview with a primary sort of Status.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Added ability to change the quality and padding on Season/Reoccuring recordings.
    • Note: When you change the quality and/or padding it will only effect new shows that get scheduled.....unless you have the option to do a complete reload of your EPG in the GBPVR config.

I think it is not asking for a password when I log in from an external source. I'll check further, but I've logged out and logged back in and it isn't asking for my pw. The port is not in the range that would auto login.

Right you are.....attached is a stop-gap patch that should fix that issue.....I will need to work on the IP V6 logic......the problem is that the code I am using to pull the V4 IP is pulling the host IP and not the client.....

The patch will allow the native gbpvr web server as well as IIS 5/6 to work correctly......if you host it under Vista and IIS it will not prompt to login.....

I did update the EWA build 61 Archive with the patch.

cool

Enhanced webmin even got better.

What i realy want to see is something that handles conflicting recordings.
Now it conflicts... but which recording?

Would be nice to choose between conflicting recordings.

hmmm

installed v61 yesterday
today i noticed my pc was slow
because gbpvr recording service was taking 900mb mem.

found out that my db went crazy.
in the search screen showed sometimes 200-300 reminders
causing explorer to crash

i never used reminders.
couldn't fix it.

only solution was te reinstall gbpvr with clean db.

VERY strange.
not using v61 (or any other ewa) at the moment

When you have a saved search that contains the option to Auto Search or you create a search and set the option to Auto Search......Reminders will be automatically set for all results found on these searches.

For this to occur you would also need to have the Auto Search enabled setting in the config set to True.

All saved searches are stored in an xml file in the gbpvr root directory called web-saved-searches.xml. You can either delete this file which will wipe out any saved searches you have or you can edit the file and change the autoShowSearch parameter on the SearchName element to False rather than true.

Thanks UncleJohnsBand,

I think what you described was exactly wat was hapening last evening.
Played around with those settings resulting in .....

Ok, call me stupid Smile but what I did can easily happen to other people.
As suggested in other threads, I think reminders could be placed in a seperate section with more options? (delete for examaple).

First time ever hearing of this issue arising for someone.... Wink

I think it is a matter of being aware of what the Auto Search does.....you can still save searches without flagging them for Auto Search and the search will not set the reminder.

The purpose of the Auto Search is for those people that are looking for certain types of shows on a regular basis and they don't want to have to go in every day and do the search manually.....the reminders are set to let people know what shows are set to record.

The reminder can be set to come up any time before the show is to start....you set this in the Config tab as well. So people that use the auto search may have this set to something like 2 days in advance.....when they see reminders they know that they are shows that they may want to record.....they bring up the detail (simply click on the reminder line for the show at the top of the page and it will open the detail page for the show) and you can kill the reminder if you don't want to record the show or you can set it to record.

The only drawback with Auto Search and reminders is that there is currently no way to flag a show to not re-set a reminder once you have killed the reminder....so if you killed a reminder for a show that was in two days.....the reminder would continue to get reset since the search and reminder setting only know that there is a show in the search results that has not yet occurred so a reminder needs to be set.

It is for this reason I haven't created a page for viewing shows with reminders.....too much work with no real gain......if/when the GBPVR API supports a way to flag a show to not have a reminder set I will most likely create a view reminders specific page.

I personally don't use the auto-search feature but I do have a bunch of different searches saved.
