i asked this question a while back, but would like to add it to the wish list.
I have two MVP's, one to a 46" LCD the other to a 18" LCD so the tv guide looks fine on one but bad on another. Selectable themes per MVP would be nice.
Intel P4 2500 mhz, 1.25G Ram, XP Home SP2, Maxtor 30Gb and WD 200gb drives, PVR-500MCE, DM500s, dboxrecorder, GBPVR 1.2.9, 2 x wired MVP,

Not getting an answer eh. Sorry I can't answer directly. From what I know it's currently not available...

I recently added support for multiple MVP for different transcode profiles in ZProcess. So you could have one MVP/TV show a certain quality or apsect and another setup for a different TV...

I know that that's not your question.

I wanted to ask though.... How is the MVP on your 46" LCD? Do you use s-video? Do you watch Downloaded AVIs, on-the-fly transcoding?

Do you use ZProcess? I'm interested in getting a large wide screen....

i did get an answer from sub, no gbpvr can't do it, so i'm suggesting it.

My MVP's are European, so its connected via Scart. I've "evaluated" some downloaded avi's and the screen height wise can be severely reduced, we resorted to activating the TV zoom function to improve it. never thought to try zprocess. The PC is not a high spec, see signature.

I originally had a look at your zprocess when it was first announced but admit i was a bit too dumb for it, well it seemed complicated.

Getting back to my problem, i would imagine any user with more than one MVP would find it useful to have the skin tweaked per MVP.

Perhaps the MVPmc project may help or Tipstir may have a suggestion as they have a lot of knowledge in this area

I don't think the mvpmc dongle can do that by itself. It would require interaction with GBPVR (and a shipload of Irish whisky for Sub). You might repost here however: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=1...ostcount=2

Sub mentioned in another post, you can only run one instance of gbpvr, besides the mvp server(s).

Yeah I have to say, that unless sub builds in support, it won't happen.

When/if you use MVPScreenPosition it stores screen coordinates in the the config.xml for each MVP you have.

I guess sub will have to add something in like that, a skin per MVP MAC address...

You can setup the MVP to handle different sets sizes by MAC address. You need to first use HAU MediaMVP to lock in the settings for 16:9 then use the GBPVR software and edit the config.xml for each MVP you have to match those settings.

I have 13" SDTV, 15" HDTV, 27" SDTV, 36" SDTV, 37" HDTV and 46 or higher is coming HDTV.. Sets from 13" to 36" can use:

640
428
28
28

HDTV is

Is higher a bit.. But you got to be careful.. As to having different themes for MVP don't know how that would be done unless it was done by IP and MAC address.

Yes, it would have to be by Mac address probably, but I bet it's a matter for sub to add that in... Basically when a MVP session is started, GB-PVR already selects the MVP selected theme (as opposed to the main GUI's theme) It's at that time that GB-PVR would have to refer to the config.xml, lookup the mac and start serving the appropriate theme. It sounds all easy, but who knows what code sub has to work through to do this.... or maybe he's reading this and he's getting annoyed that I'm referring to him in the third person... Smile
