I saw in another post that you recommended trying to run the new interface with the -fse parameter. What exactly does this do? It seemed to help a little with the frame skipping that I am seeing on my system.

If I record a file and play it back in WMP, it plays without stuttering. I assume this is either due to a problem with the decoders, or possibly that WMP is using overlay mode.

Do you know if WMP uses overlay mode? If I change the GBPVR settings to use all 3 "System Defaults", shouldn't this use the same decoders as WMP? How can I tell which decodes that WMP is using so I can set it the same in GBPVR?

It tells DirectX to initialise fullscreen exclusive mode, effectively giving it full control of the display adapter. Updates to the screen happen slightly quicker, Windows doesnt try to do anything with the display adapter etc.

WMP will be using the overlay renderer. PVRX2 will always be using VMR9 Custom (except with -fse, when it uses VMR9 FSE).

"VMR9 Custom" uses Direct3D to draw updates to the screen, "VMR9" does not.
