Sky and MCE IRBlasters....

Ok i have HIP setup and it sends to the Sky box... But it is intermitant. Keeps missing some. but working fine othertimes. Its a thompson Sky Digital Box.

Anyone on here using one? how is yours set. and where is your IR blaster stuck. It looks like i have about 1 tenth of a mil movement below the IR light to get it working. this then makes me wonder is it the Blaster not sending the best code or is it the ir reciever not picking it up.

Shine a torch into the set top box and you can see where the reciever is, then place the ir blaster at that spot. My box is a ntl samsung which has toggle codes which means if I pressed 1 then 1 again it sends a different code for each time.

Is that so you see the light shining out? if so that makes life hard as there are 5 points that it will shine out and i have tried all of them.....

As to number swaping. i will look in to that..
