Note: I for some reason I can't edit my own posts in this thread. Sorry for the double post.

I meant to say that we watch the DVDs on the MVP not on the PC.

Sorry for the triple post.

sub - I reinstalled 1.0.16 (on clean machine) w/patches on survival thread and discovered we seem to be missing patch for popups: http://forums.gbpvr.com/showpost.php?p=2...stcount=86

Not sure if you want to post that one over there also.

I installed GBPVRBackendCommon.dll v1.0.2788.30458 in my GBPVR directory, set up a trial account with Schedules Direct, and I get this error when doing the initial download from GB-PVR config:

"
You EPG source does no appear to be configured correctly. Please check the EPG Source Settings and try again. System.Net.WebException: The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.
at System.Net.WebClient.UploadDataInternal(Uri address, String method......)
"

The attachment shows the full Exception information.

I am using my proper account/username, not email address in GBPVR config. I can successfully use the name and password combo on the SchedulesDirect web site, so I believe my credentials are OK.

Is there a way to force/save different credentials in GBPVR's config file, or is something else happening that I am missing?

Thanks.

As far as I can tell from that error you're not entering a valid schedules direct username/password.

There was a situation for a few days (a couple of weeks ago) at the schedules direct end where they had not correctly enabled the listing part of some accounts, resulting in the 401 error, so this is another possibility. You should probably try to confirm your account with the xmltv client from http://www.xmltv.org, and if it's still not working then post a message on the Schedules Direct forum.

I just discovered/realized that Schedules Direct changes the user account name to lower case, without notification, at creating time.

I was using a mixed-case user name in GBPVR but SchedulesDirect was looking for an all lower-case name. GB-PVR was doing the right thing but SD wasn't.

I finally took the plunge and upgraded from v0.92.

Glad I got over my apprehension - the UI improvements alone are worth it, even without all those little things that work so much better now!

I can't get over how simple the upgrade was, and the level of support that's available on this forum. Simply phenomenal.

Donation (well overdue) is on its way, Sub. Thank you a thousand times for this PVR software. It has improved our quality of life no end.
