Yep, that's what's happening I guess.

I think you did itBig Grin , congrats. All searches ran fine afaict. I must admit that I didn't read your post, with all the scenarios, very thoroughly yesterday. So at first I was a bit surprised with the logic, it was different than I expected. I expected the time parameters to apply to every day the search was run on, not only for the first day and the last day. I hope you get what I mean. e.g. If you would run a search with just time start and end time set, it would search every day between those times.
Anyway, I think you conquered it.

Yes.....if you enter just two times (start and end) all programmes will be searched that have a start time that is >= the entered start time and and end time that is <= the entered end time.

The search has always had a date time frame that was used....it has always been the date the search is run for the start date and 30 days from that date for the end date.

If you do not enter a date then that still is in effect....so if you entered a start time of 8:00 p.m and an end time of 11:00 p.m. and did a search today (10/14) then all shows that start at or after 8:00 p.m. and end at or before 11:00 p.m. and fall into a date range of 10/14/2007 through 11/13/2007 would meet the time criteria that was entered.

Make sense?

HtV Wrote:Yes I think it makes sense. I think I found the confusion:
When I enter a time frame from 0.00 - 0.30 it will find all the shows in that period + all the shows between 12.00 and 12.30. If I enter a time frame 12.00-12.30 it'll find all the shows between 0,00 and 0.30 as well. Probably something with 12 hr versus 24hr clock.
For the rest it works great afaict, great job.

I have added code to show on the search screen the default search date and time.....now that there is a field with it there is no reason not to show what it is defaulted to.

I will be adding an ignore date and an ignore time option in on the search screen that will allow the search to just look at time (if ignore date is set) or ignore time (if date is set) and ignore any date checking if both are set.

This will allow you to just search on a date or time range without regard to the other.....this will resolve this search scenario.

Ok great.

Afaict that only leaves the 12-24 hr issue. It's not a big deal but it would be nice to have it work properly.
Not trying to bug you but to me it seems that it does the folowing:
When you do a search with 24 hr notation it translates it to 12 hr notation, then it rips off the am/pm and then does the search. It would be nice the other way round: translate 12 hr notation to 24 hr notation, then do the search.
I might be completely wrong on this, I'm not a programmer.Smile
