Build 66 of EWA has been released. You can download it here or on the wiki.

This upgrade requires GBPVR 99.12 or higher to work.

Date: 2007-10-19 Build Number: 66 Changes:
  • UncleJohnsBand: Update Ajax Pro library to current 7.7.31.1 release.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Added a date and time range option on the Search page to allow further narrowing of search results.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Added eWorld.UI component library created by eXcentrics World.
    • Thanks to eXcentrics for providing this component at no cost.

  • UncleJohnsBand: Updated Manual Record to use new date and time components.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Added ability to extend programme end time when scheduling recordings. Previously this was only availble on shows that were already scheduled to record.
    • You should only use this on programmes you are scheduling that will record prior to the next EPG load. Otherwise the endtime will get reset.

  • UncleJohnsBand: Updated channel drop down on manual record to correctly show channel name and number rather than just the call letters.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Add Guest User access.
    • Guest User Id and Password are set on the Admin tab.
    • You do not need to configure this unless you want to use the functionality.
    • Guest users do not have ability to schedule, cancel or delete recordings.
    • Guest users do not have acess to Admin or Search tabs and they can not directly access them by URL.

  • UncleJohnsBand: Added code to Manage Recordings to trigger RSS auto-sense in IE and Firefox.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Tweaked CSS code in Library2 pages to better render library control buttons.
  • UncleJohnsBand: Added new CSS based Manage Recordings page.
    • To access the CSS based Manage Recordings page use Guide2.aspx rather than Guide.aspx. Then select the Manage page from the header navigation tabs.
    • I have not yet implemented the TreeView into the CSS based Manage Recordings.
    • Note: Streamer settings need to be set via a normal theme. I need to build a new stream settings interface for the CSS based screens.
    • Note: Theme colors are for contrast only.....this is not an actual theme color scheme.
    • Note: Please post feedback/bugs in the EWA CSS Guide sticky thread located in the EWA support forum.
    • Note: Slowly but surely I am getting through these.....hopefully not too much longer until all screens are complete and I will create a real theme for the CSS interface.

so, the first stream worked. Then I closed VLC and hit close stream. Then I tried to click on another stream and I get this:

404 Resource not found(/gbpvr/Guide.aspx)

That happened before as well. Attached is the only log I could find. It looks like a bunch of problems with some plugins. Thanks again for all your help, those were terrific instructions.

copy the CommonGBPVRUtilities.dll from the gbpvr directory to the gbpvr\web\bin directory after stopping the gbpvrrecording service. Then restart the gbpvrrecording service.

Let me know what happens and post the log.

Yea....another plugin....the thing with EWA is that since it is using the base of GBPVR it tries to initialize the plugins that are in the plugins directory....even though it doesn't have to.

My guess is you have a file in your gbpvr or gbpvr\plugin directory names GbpvrUiElements. Copy this file to your gbpvr\web\bin directory and let me know what happens.

I put that one and RecorderHelper in the bin directory. Same symptoms. The last log is from a backup installation of gbpvr I tried.

I see you were trying to stream a dvr-ms file.....VLC does not at this time support that format.....just about any other format it can handled. The dvr-ms format is a proprietary format.....

You should record your programmes in a standards based format such as mpeg.

Have you tried streaming another file format such as mpeg or avi?

Also.....I just found this in your log(scroll the whole way to the right).....it shows that you are trying to stream on port 7647......7647 is the default port for EWA.....the default for streaming should be 7648........right now you have two things trying to use the same port which will cause all kinds of problems. Change the stream port to something else other than 7647.....this is done in the stream configuration box that pops up when you select to stream a programme.

Code:
--intf http "C:\WinFast WorkArea\13 Eyewitness News at 6PM\13 Eyewitness News at 6PM_20071020_18001830.dvr-ms" :sout=#transcode{vcodec=h264{bframes=0,qp=,cabac=no-cabac,loopfilter=nf,analyse=none,adapt=none,me=dia,subme=6,chroma-me=none,merange=1,},vb=512,scale=00.75,acodec=mp4a,ab=32,channels=1}:standard{access=http,mux=ts,[B][color=Red]url=:7647[/color][/B]} vlc:quit

I am using the 66 version for a while now (after fixing my IIS problem with the gbweb name). It seems MUCH more responsive than earlier releases.

Anyway thx for the fine work.
