Hi,

I've set my nephews computer up with a Nova T 500 and GBPVR, and installed everything ok, or so I thought.

I was using the 1307 Cyberlink filter on my machine, and it's great for converting to DVD and everything, so I used this on his machine as well, but for some reason Live TV works fine, but any recordings made with that filter do not have any audio on his machine.

When I use another Cyberlink filter, the 813 one, it's all ok, with recordings working fine.

I'd prefer to use the 1307 if I can, but just thought I'd ask on here if anyone has any idea why there could be no audio on the recordings, but Live TV works fine ?

Cheers,

I'm sure the 1307 mux will be find on his machine. Its probably something to do with the audio decoder on his machine. Try taking one of his recordings onto your machine to see if it plays with audio.

Hi Sub,

But the recordings made with the 1307 filter don't have any sound when they're played in any media player at all, which is why I thought it wierd.

Simply changing the filter to the 813 version makes any recording ok and have sound fine.

Isn't the audio decoder in the config settings just used for play-back, or is it used for the recordings as well. I always thought GBPVR just copied the stream to the hard drive when recording, and wasn't aware that it did any processing on the way ?

Cheers Sub,

Did you try it on a different machine though? or were these media players all on that one machine?
