Where are the instructions for CDK Scheduler?

I find the info in the wiki rather sparse and I just cannot get it to function. I created the xml to give the order of importance of the shows and I set them in the scheduler but they are not working.

Did you also create the appropriate entries in your PostUpdateEPG.bat file? That file needs to be there otherwise the scheduler is never run.

When you installed XRecord it should have created this file if it didn't already exist.

Here is what should go in the file:

In XRecord's "Scheduler" screen you can add entries for CDK Scheduler. This will create/augment the PriorityRecordings.xml file for you. Also when you see "Advanced" in the XSuite menus it's referring to the CDK Scheduler. You can also manually run CDK scheduler from the popup that appears on a ready recording after hitting the Ctrl-S key/Stop button.

When CDK scheduler runs, it searches the EPG according to the contents of priorityrecordings.xml and schedules the matching programs which will then appear in the normal Pending recordings screen.

The "PriorityRecording.exe > recording.log" line in PostUpdateEPG.bat makes sure your PriorityRecordings.xml file gets processed every time there is new EPG data so any new programs matching your advanced search criteria are found and scheduled.
