Apologies if this has already been brought up, but the search isn't working (it returns 0 results for "EPG"). I purchased the yearly full listings package from CTTV, which includes:

Quote:Show's start time, end time, Duration, Title, Sub-Title, Description, Genre, Show Type, Episode Number, Series Number, Original Air date, Tv Rating, HDTV, CC, Stereo and Dolby.
Movies: MPAA Rating, Start Rating, Advisories, Run Time and Year.

But the EPG isn't displaying most of this information. Is there a way to get it to do so, or did I just spend twice as much as I should have, since basic listings (featuring all the info I can currently see on the EPG) are only $7 for the year? Who else uses CTTV? Thanks in advance.

GB-PVR is intended to be used world wide, and the reality is that it wouldnt normally have this much information available. GB-PVR just uses the core data that would be available in most countries, including channel, title, subtitle, description, start time, end time, rating, genre and unique show identifier. The rest of the information is thrown away.

Since I don't think CTTV is an XML type epg source, you won't be able to get the additional information you're looking for.

However, you can use an XML type grabber along with UltraXMLTV, with TV Listings to accomplish your goal.

I assume this forum expects at least 4 characters in a search word. That is very unfortunate with all the 3 character acronyms we use.

Yes! (Sub, UltraXMLTV is what I was thinking of...I knew I'd seen a way to get extra info into the EPG). So here is a quick and dirty guide to pulling the extra information out of CTTV if anyone wants it:

1. Download the CTTV Listings binary from http://ctpvr.com/dl.html and install it. Run it, select "Setup," then "Create and manage account" at the top. If you've already set up an account on their website, enter your username and password and click "retrieve account." I believe either XMLTV option will work, but I used the zap2it CHID format. Set download location to "c:\epg\listing.xml" (you'll need to create the directory beforehand), close setup, and start download. Set time and click on the "Enable daily auto downloads" box, then exit program.

2. Go to http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Utility/UltraXMLTV and follow the instructions for downloading, installing and configuring UltraXMLTV. Assuming you kept the directories as specified on the wiki, create a file called "updateguide.bat" in the GBPVR home directory that contains the following line:
c:\epg\UltraXMLTV_Enhancer\UltraXMLTV_Enhancer.exe c:\epg\listing.xml

3. Run GBPVR config, go to the capture source tab, select your source and click Edit, change to XMLTV for EPG type, and point it at c:\epg\listing.xml. Set the daily download for whatever time you want to update (I set mine for an hour after the grabber's time). Clear and reload EPG. Start GBPVR and enjoy your new EPG information.

Thanks, guys. This would have been much harder to figure out without this forum.
