New to All, need help

just want to thank everyone in advance for helping... got an issue... I have gb-pvr running so it seems but the status says its sleeping how do I get it out of this?

That's the recording-service, it means that it isn't recording at the moment. You can watch/record etc through gbpvr or pvrx2.
PVRX2 is the newest and the one that is being further developed.

I have a Hauppage 1600 and I cant get it to find any channels. I have tried plugging the coax cable from the way to the antenna also tried the tv in. I cant get any channels. I also am currently trying it from my digital cable box i tried the antenna and tv in plugs and got nothing. Am I doing something wrong?

also the cable is split before it gets to the cablbe box but it doesnt seem to affect the tv at all so... idk whats going on or what to do.

I did a rescan with win tv and it found two channels so I looked at channel 4, which is one of the channels it found and channel 4 shows what ever channel my digital cable is sitting on. So I can change the channel with my remote and I see it in WinTV changing channels. So my cable works there, but when I try to scan in config mode to do mapping it doesnt find any channels. I have one channel in gbpvr its a news channel but when I try to go to live tv it gives me an error of :Input string was not in a correct format. I dont even know if that channel is real since It hasnt found and channels in scan.
