I have a couple of large playlists to separate my music from my wife's and I'd like to be able to randomize them when playing them. If I go to the playlist screen when nothing is playing, I see my imported playlists there, but if I press the red button when on a playlist or in the list of tracks on the right hand side, nothing happens. Is it not possible to randomize M3U playlists within ML2?

I thought it was. I know it's possible from the DB based, and thought it was from M3U based as well.

There is some stuff coming relating to M3U playlists...

Would you mind verifying so I know I'm not missing something, or doing something wrong?

Short answer yes, the new version seems to do this.

I'm sure the old used to. Do you get tracks listed when looking at the imported playlist? If not, then it's not actually loading it.

And to randomise it, try from the left hand (list of playlists) and then if no joy, try from the right hand side (the list of tracks). Random is ctrl-r

Yes, when I select the playlist from the list, I see the track listing in alphabetical order in the list on the right. I was pressing the "red" button on the remote on both the playlist name and in the list, but neither worked. Is CTRL+R the same as the Red button? I'll try CTRL+R when I'm at home later to in case it is different.

Yes the Red should be Ctrl-R ....depends on your remote setup (mine is hauppauge).

Yes, I use a Harmony remote setup to use Hauppauge, so I guess my playlists aren't behaving for some reason.
