is it possible to pass the favorite name or channel name to the file being made/played instead of it being gbnetradio?

use built in gbpvr player to see net radio song info..
[set in config.xml, don't use WMP for netradio]
<UseWindowsMediaPlayerForNetRadio>false</UseWindowsMediaPlayerForNetRadio>

you lose visualizations, but gain song info.Smile

I'm pretty sure that the "gbnetradio" filename is only used for audio recordings if you are accessing GB-PVR via an MVP. Otherwise, it should use the name of the stream being played concatenated with a time stamp. I can't remember why I hard code the file name for MVP audio in the UbuNetStreamPlayer dll (which is where the action is happening) but I think it has something to do with the string that the GB-PVR MVP server is expecting in order to recognize it as something requiring audio playback. Since it is only used as a temporary file, the name didn't seem that important.

I'm not sure what pBS is referring to but I think he's talking about GB-PVR's Net Radio feature. Which is a different thing entirely.

AFAIK if you want gbpvr to playback an mp3 file while it is still being created, the filename needs to start with 'gbnetradio' eg gbnetradio-0.mp3'

that would be ok if the filename had to start with gbnetradio i could remove that with lcdsmartie befor its displayed and just show the station name. i just dont know how to change the filename or add the gbnetradio to the begining of the filename if that is indeed why i cant hear it.
