IR200L driver seems to have been stepped on

Everything was working fine (except for channels in the x60 ranges) until I decided to use my GBPVR machine to flash WM6 onto my smartphone. I installed Activesync, which grabbed COM1 and prevented my IR200L from working. (I debugged this far yesterday). I've uninstalled it, but have not been able to restore normal functionality to the IR200L. Looking at it with a digital camera, it is just flashing on and off periodically, and does not seem to do a normal channel change sequence when try to change the channel through GBPVR. I've reinstalled it as new hardware through the OS (XP), and have redefined it to GBPVR's config utility, all with no results. Does anybody have ideas on how to get it working again? Didn't see anything obvious in a forum search.

Got it; I'd installed the device in Windows instead of letting GBPVR access it directly. I uninstalled it and channels started changing again.
