Hey, I'm having trouble receiving my hi-def channels (regular come in fine) with GB. I have the latest release (1.2.9), and I'm using the NVidia Video & Audio decoders, as well as the MainConcept multiplexer. I've also tried the DVR-MS multiplexer, and other codecs. I receive audio just fine (all hi-def channels are ac3), but I get no video (says no signal detected while the audio plays). I can get these channels in MyTheatre, so I know that it is possible to get them.

Anyone have any suggestions?

If you playback one of those recordings in another player, does it show video? If not, then its most likely something to do with multidec being unable to decrypt the video stream (either at recording time or during live tv).

But the plugin does fine with Mytheatre (for example). What could I try to resolve this problem? Others have HD running on BEV82, right?

Its still worth checking though, then at least you'd know if its a 'recording' (aka decrypting problem) or 'playback' issue (decoders etc).

We've already seen in the past that the mdapifilter.ax doesnt behave exactly the same way as mytheatre, so the fact it works there is no 100% confirmation it'll work in GB-PVR with mdapifilter.ax.

There seems to be several others using it with BEV services, I'm not sure exactly which channels though.

Ah ok. When I try record, it puts me back to the main screen with the audio running in the background. So I canceled recording in the guide, then tried just recording, but then it put me back to the main menu again with audio in the background. After a reboot, the file is 0 bytes (I'm guessing because of the incomplete recording?) So I can't try to play it in another player, unfortunately. Suggestions?

EDIT: Even stranger, when I record, it records a different channel than the one I'm on.

Post the logs showing a recording and I'll take a look. If you hear sound while recording then I suspect you've got a bad directshow filter getting in the way.

As of about 6:30pm - 7:00pm BEV has gone done. I suggest that you check for an update of your multidec plug in.
