Yea the HDHomeRun looks fun. I doubt my cable company opens up any QAM, but we'll see. As more companies move that way, everybody will have to switch...

i have an HTPC set up as per sig, with my main pc in the bed room, partners pc in the spare + laptop wireless, all gbpvr client enabled. Will move both pc's to the spare, buy an old CRT tv for the bedroom and use our mvp which gets no use now. I love having seperate pc's, we do a lot of recording etc + things dont go down well if house or shortland street don't record, hah. SAF is fantastic with this set up, we never, ever use sky or normal tv reception now, all viewing is done through gbpvr, after extensive tweaking picture quality is very close to sky as far as saturation + deinterlacing goes, just not quite as sharp (though its close). Took me a lot to get it set up to this level, and since my main pc goes through quite a bit each day, its not acceptable to have the htpc compromised by my use of the main pc.

That said, before i moved in here we had my partners pc as the main pc, networked to the MVP on the tv, with no issues - but she basically only used her pc for internet + office work, so it was not an issue.
