I am having some problems with remote control suddenly not working, my testing to date seems to indicate that it is something to do with UbuRecordingService.

Interestingly if I go to services and stop the UbuRecordingService then PVRx2 will ot start up! I believe this is abug and needs correcting as it also stops the PVRx2.exe log from being generated.

Ubu, are you aware of these issues?

Thanks

Can't think why this would affect your remote control. The UbuRecordingService is purely dedicated to managing VLC transcoding/recording processes (to support Timeshift Play). It has no knowledge of any external devices.

Again I'm confused. There should be no dependencies between PVRX2 and the UbuRecordingService. From memory, I think that, when UbuStream first loads, it will attempt to re-start the service if it detects that it isn't running. This has never caused any problems that I'm aware of so far.

I started a new job (real job, involving people giving me money Wink ) a while back and, to be honest, I haven't had any time to devote to GB-PVR and the "Ubu" plugins. I have both plugins working with PVRX2 although I haven't gotten around to installing the most recent version of GB-PVR. I had intended to do "PVRX2-native" versions of UbuStream and UbuRadio but I don't seem to have time. As I think I've mentioned elsewhere, I'm always happy to share the code with anyone who is interested in participating in the development effort.

I might be willing to participate, I've always like do vlc transcoding since I did some work with in for mvpmc however I've never used c# before though. Can your source be compiled with the free MS compiler?

I have another question to, in the source for the net radio I noticed that VlcParms can be overwritten (I want to try output in raw format) Can this be done through configuration?

I'd be willing to help on it.
