Is there any way to access the internal hard drive of PCH or any plugged in USB drives through GP-PVR or MVPMCX2?

(without setting them up as network drives, mapping them on the GP-PVR system and then adding them as GP sources...because that would be kinda loopy. Hard drive -> network -> PC -> GP-PVR -> PCH -> MVPMCX2)

No there isnt. GB-PVR is running on the PC, which has no visibility of that drive without the convoluted indirect path you've already mentioned.

Thanks sub.

Though I would think, in theory, Martin could code for it in [video library]...as he already has DVD working with a mapped network share mounted as a *nix folder.

I think the intention is to eventually merge mvpmcx2 and mvpmc back together. mvpmc has a simple file browser which can be used for browsing local disks - thats obviously not going to look like a GB-PVR screen though. ie, you'll exit out of the GB-PVR part of the app to a simple mvpmc menu and be able to select a file browser option.

The video library screens are all generated on the PC, so it wouldnt be able to give you an integrated view of those local drives.

Actually I have this pretty much working now I needed it because the next firmware expands the share to the usb too. The difference is that it will be zero config as long as GBPVR is set up to read the PCH and returns \\pch_ip\

Releasing this will be the issue.
