Full TS?

I see in the release notes full TS is mentioned

Also added a 'full TS' mux option, which will be used full dumps of the transport stream when I need sample files to debug problems.

is there any use for this on a day to day basis? how does it record? (so to speak)

You can use it if you want, but it will generate very big files. For example, if you chose to record one channel on DVB-S it'd record the full transport stream containing the half dozen or so channels carried on the same frequency.
