here's a nice little util i found to change the update interval of the built-in windows time updater..http://www.dougknox.com/xp/utils/xp_inet_time.htm
it's nice cuz you just run it once and the rest is all built into windows..
set it and forget it...
to see updated interval reflected immediately, stop 'windows time service' service, run this util, then restart the service...
then go dbl-click on time in tray and goto internet time tab, and notice the next update time has changed...
and no nasty installation residue...
