Does anyone else still use Spampal?

I ask as I have had problems with it conflicting with GBPVR (esp. config window) in the past and I have been having a few other GBPVR/PCH problems recently I just can't get past, so I am considering uninstalling it for good.

If you do use GBPVR and also Spampal:

• what version of Spampal?
  
• do you use the Layered Service Proxy?
  
• and do you have any problems with the configs information window not always closing properly?
  

If I do change to another Spam program, is there one which you would reccommend that works with a mail checker program (I use Magic Mail Monitor) that checks mail on the server (I delete mail marked as Spam by Spampal, which it does on the server mails, before I download them to my PC).
