started using digiguide for my xml epg, but listings go on for ages (sky sports up to 4th october!) which results in a 70mb xml file!

before i write something to lower this, is there anything else out there i can use? i tried radio times, but channel list not that great and most programmes don't have episode names (especially for non-bbc channels, which is understandable).

i don;t think there's anything in xmltvgui that will restrict what it grabs...

Are you using Freeview? If so you can use the over-the-air DVB EPG.

I don't know about using digiguide - but i use xmltvgui grabbing the Radio Times listings and restrict it to 7 days with xmltvgui /d7 /grab

that sounds brilliant - i checked the wiki for xmltgui but didn't see anything with switches (and didn't have time to check exe /?).

many thanks, martin - will give it a try.

you can limit the output via Alan Birttles tool (assuming you are using this to access digiguide). If I recall you can provide a command line switch /d7 and it limits the output to next seven days !
