NZ HD DVB-T file sizes

Although I'm quite happy with the quality of my DVB-S recordings, I'm building up a new system for my (non-sky-dish-equipped) parents and need to choose the tuner cards. Just wondered what the approximate file size was for DVB-T programs per hour, or whether I should get them to get a dish/stay analogue.

About 6 gb an hour I've seen (1 gb per 10 mins).

That may be just tv3 though, i don't think I've calculated the other channels.

Ahh and I remember a guy at work recorded tvnz sport extra 6 hours for 5 gb (it's an SD channel).

I just recorded a 1hr ep of Dragons Den from DVB-T (from my Nova-T 500 dual tuner) to .mpg, and it was 3.2GB. Once it had auto converted to XviD, it was down to ~900mb
